By using Vocable ("the App"), you agree to these terms. Please read them before using the App.
Use of the App
Vocable is a vocabulary learning app for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the App on any devices you own that are signed into your Apple ID.
Tips & In-App Purchases
- Vocable is free. Every feature is available to every user at no cost.
- The App offers optional one-time tips as consumable in-app purchases. Tips are entirely voluntary and grant no additional features — they simply help cover developer account fees and ongoing maintenance.
- Payment for any tip is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Because tips are consumable purchases, they are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Refund requests are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Tips do not auto-renew. There is no subscription.
- Prices are set in App Store Connect and may vary by region. The App displays the actual price from the App Store before purchase.
Content & Definitions
Word definitions are sourced from the Free Dictionary API, an open-source project. While I strive to provide accurate content, definitions are provided "as is" and I make no guarantees about their accuracy or completeness. The curated word list is bundled with the App and may be updated in future releases.
Intellectual Property
The App's design, code, and curated word list are the property of Angad Singh Bedi. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
Your Data
Your data belongs to you. The App stores data locally on your device and optionally in your private iCloud account. You can export your data at any time. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. I do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that definitions will always be available (the dictionary API is a third-party service outside my control).
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. My total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Changes to These Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through an App update.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law provisions, and supplement Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
